We use AI tools to help gather research and prepare first drafts, and to help maintain our interlinked database of artists, groups and events.
What humans do
A person selects the topics, reviews and edits every article, checks facts against the sources, and makes the final decision to publish. The judgment and the final call are ours — nothing is published automatically.
Our guardrails
- Facts are verified against at least two sources, which we show on the page. (Sourcing)
- We do not publish AI-generated quotes; if something can’t be verified, we leave it out.
- AI assistance never replaces sourcing or human review.
About the pen name
K-Cult is written under the pen name Kio Lysander-West. We use a pen name to let the writing and the passion speak rather than a personal identity — not to hide how the work is made, which is exactly why this page exists. (About us)
