Editorial Policy

K-Cult is an English-language K-pop magazine and reference written under the pen name Kio Lysander-West. We are fans, not industry insiders — what we bring is genuine enthusiasm and the time to research each story properly. (About us)

Our standards

  • Accuracy first. Every story is researched from at least two independent sources before publishing. If a claim can’t be verified, we leave it out rather than guess.
  • We show our work. Sources are listed on the article with the date they were checked; database pages (artists, groups, tours, venues) carry a “last verified” date.
  • We rank our sources. Official statements are distinguished from press reporting and social media. (Sourcing policy)
  • AI is disclosed. We use AI to help research and draft; a human reviews, edits, fact-checks and makes the final call. (AI assistance)
  • No fabrication. We never invent quotes, facts or credentials.
  • We correct openly. Mistakes get fixed promptly and transparently. (Corrections)

Independence

We choose what to cover based on fan interest and newsworthiness. We do not accept payment for coverage, and sponsored content — should it ever appear — would be clearly labeled.
