K-Cult database

Bios

Search idols, actors, and artists by name, nationality, role, and generation.

Everyone K-Cult writes about ends up here: idols and soloists, but also the actors who cross over into K-dramas and the producers whose names keep surfacing in the credits. A profile exists because we needed it to explain a story — who left which group and when, who was under contract to whom, which debut a comeback is being measured against. The directory is the memory the news articles lean on.

Each profile carries the same skeleton: birth details, group memberships with the dates they started and ended, agency contracts, the releases and milestones that matter, and the sources every one of those facts came from. Depth varies honestly. Someone who debuted three months ago has a short page; someone with a decade behind them has a long one. We would rather publish a thin profile that is accurate than pad it out with things we cannot source.

Use the filters to narrow by name, nationality, role, generation or current status. Romanisations differ from one outlet to the next — search a stage name first, and try the group name if a member does not come up. Anything wrong or out of date, tell us and we will check it against the record.
