G-Dragon (born Kwon Ji-yong; 권지용) is the leader and main rapper of BIGBANG and one of the most influential figures in modern K-pop. A singer-songwriter and producer who writes much of his own material, he debuted with BIGBANG in 2006 and built a acclaimed solo career alongside it, from Heartbreaker (2009) to Coup d’Etat (2013).
After parting ways with YG Entertainment in December 2023 and signing with Galaxy Corporation, he returned with his third studio album Übermensch in February 2025 — his first in 12 years. He is also the founder of the fashion brand PEACEMINUSONE and, in 2026, rejoins Taeyang and Daesung for BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary XX : COSMOS world tour.
