Start with the historic centre
Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Angel of Independence show different chapters of Mexico City's built landscape. Bellas Artes and the cathedral belong to a historic-centre visit; the Angel stands along Paseo de la Reforma. The pedestrian Madero corridor connects the Bellas Artes side of the centre with the Zocalo area, making it a useful orientation route rather than a transfer to the concert grounds.

Arena Ciudad de Mexico, often shortened to Arena CDMX, is not Arena Mexico, the lucha libre venue. Palacio de los Deportes and Estadio GNP Seguros are separate buildings or sites within the wider Magdalena Mixhuca sports area. Older material may refer to Estadio GNP Seguros as Foro Sol. These names matter when checking a ticket, choosing a station or meeting friends: 'the arena' is not a sufficiently precise destination.
A focused day works better than a city-wide checklist
Explore the Bellas Artes-to-Zocalo corridor on one outing, or spend your available time along Reforma. Keep the journey to the performance as a separate part of the day, particularly if you have early entry. For an open-air stadium production, consult that event's plan for the gate, standing area and any weather arrangements. An older sporting photograph should not be used to infer your view of the stage.
