Castle, Sakae and Osu

Nagoya Castle, the television tower in Sakae and Osu Kannon Temple provide three distinct anchors for the city. The castle area lends itself to a heritage visit, Sakae is a central urban district, and Osu combines a temple with surrounding shopping streets. Choose one area for a short pre-show outing instead of treating all three as a quick circuit.

Four venues with different approaches

Vantelin Dome Nagoya is the city's large dome; IG Arena is in the Meijo Park area; Nippon Gaishi Hall belongs to the southern sports complex; and Port Messe Nagoya is at Kinjo-futo by the port. Hall 1 at Port Messe needs its own entrance check. Older pictures of the exhibition grounds may show a different hall or an earlier layout, so the current event plan is the reliable guide for arrival.

Let the venue shape the day

A castle-area visit fits more naturally with the Meijo side of Nagoya than with a last-minute trip to Kinjo-futo. For a Port Messe event, give the outward journey and the walk across the exhibition site a separate time window. Osu shopping is better finished early enough to leave bags behind. If you arrive by Shinkansen, Nagoya Station is a transport gateway, not the location of every arena.
