東京 / Kanto, Japan

Tokyo Dome, Yoyogi, the National Stadium and Zepp DiverCity occupy different districts. A useful concert itinerary keeps the venue separate from the city's famous photo stops.

Overview

Asakusa, the tower and Shibuya

Kaminarimon at Senso-ji, Tokyo Tower and Shibuya crossing give three instantly recognisable views of Tokyo. Asakusa's temple streets, the tower area and Shibuya are not one walkable sightseeing loop. Choose one principal district before a concert rather than making the entire city a checklist. Around Senso-ji, the temple grounds and Nakamise shopping street offer enough detail for a focused visit.

Which part of Tokyo is on the ticket?

Tokyo Dome is in the Suidobashi and Korakuen area. Yoyogi National Gymnasium is near Harajuku, the National Stadium listed here under MUFG Stadium is in the Kasumigaoka area, and Zepp DiverCity is in Odaiba. The stadium, dome and gymnasium are different buildings, despite their shared ability to host large events. For Zepp DiverCity, use the venue entrance rather than a generic destination for the whole shopping complex.

Do not add an Odaiba transfer at the last minute

A Shibuya or Harajuku outing fits a different part of Tokyo from an Asakusa visit. For an Odaiba concert, reserve a clear outward travel window and check how you will return from the bay area. Tokyo Tower can be a separate stop when time allows. Finish shopping early enough to put bags away, and remember that a Shinkansen arrival at Tokyo Station is only the start of the local trip.

Getting there

Compare JR, Tokyo Metro and the relevant bay-area lines using the full venue name. Check the final station exit and walk, not just the interchange. Haneda and Narita are different airports with different routes, so verify your airport transfer separately from the journey to the show.
