Pledis Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company founded by former SM Entertainment director Han Sung-soo in 2007 (the corporation was registered on July 5, 2010). Home of After School (2009-2021), NU'EST (2012-2022) and fromis_9 (2021-2024), it currently manages SEVENTEEN, TWS, Hwang Min-hyun and producer Bumzu. Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation) became its majority shareholder on May 25, 2020, and Pledis has since operated as an independent label within the HYBE multi-label system, led by CEO Kim Yeon-soo since November 2024.

Overview

Pledis Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company established by Han Sung-soo in 2007 and named after the Pleiades star cluster. It built its reputation with girl group After School, boy band NU’EST and above all SEVENTEEN, one of the world’s best-selling boy groups, before Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) became its majority shareholder in May 2020.

Operating today as an independent label within HYBE’s multi-label system from the company’s Yongsan headquarters in Seoul, Pledis manages SEVENTEEN, boy group TWS (debuted 2024), soloist Hwang Min-hyun and producer Bumzu, under CEO Kim Yeon-soo, appointed in November 2024.
