SEVENTEEN is a 13-member South Korean boy group under Pledis Entertainment, debuted on May 26, 2015 and organized into hip-hop, vocal and performance units. Known as “self-producing idols”, the members write, produce and choreograph their own work, led creatively by Woozi and performance director Hoshi.
Their 2023 EP FML became the best-selling album of that year worldwide per IFPI, and in 2024 the group was named UNESCO’s first Goodwill Ambassador for Youth and became the first K-pop act to play Glastonbury. The group continues activities through sub-units while members rotate through mandatory military service, with a full 13-member return planned around 2028.
