Source Music is a South Korean record label and management company founded by So Sung-jin on November 17, 2009. Best known as the original home of girl group GFriend (2015-2021), it became a subsidiary of Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation) in July 2019 and currently manages LE SSERAFIM, who debuted on May 2, 2022.

Overview

Source Music is a South Korean record label founded in 2009 by So Sung-jin, a former SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment staffer. It rose to prominence as the home of girl group GFriend, one of the defining acts of K-pop’s third generation, before being acquired by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) in 2019.

As an independent label under the HYBE umbrella, Source Music launched LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 — the first girl group created after HYBE’s multi-label restructuring — and operates from HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters in Seoul.
