Historic Seoul and the Namsan skyline
Gyeongbokgung's palace grounds, N Seoul Tower on Namsan and the hanok streets of Bukchon show different layers of Seoul. The palace and Bukchon belong to the historic northern centre, while Namsan gives a wider view of the city. Bukchon also contains residential streets: follow posted visitor restrictions and avoid treating private homes as photo sets.
Olympic Park contains several separate venues
KSPO Dome, Olympic Hall and the handball venue listed as Ticket Link Live Arena belong to the Olympic Park area, but they are not interchangeable names for one hall. Gocheok Sky Dome is in another part of Seoul, while Jamsil Indoor Stadium and Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium have their own approaches. Use the precise Korean or English building name from the ticket, particularly where maps still show an earlier sponsor name.
Keep the palace route away from a rushed arrival
A visit around Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon can make a focused daytime outing, but it is not a short walk to Olympic Park. For a Gocheok show, allow a separate westward journey rather than following an itinerary intended for Songpa. Leave shopping bags and large luggage behind before heading to the venue. The official Olympic Park map is useful for telling adjacent halls apart once you reach the precinct.
