BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo will release Addicted, the second prerelease single from her first full-length solo album, on Friday, October 30 at 8 a.m. KST, her agency Blissoo announced Tuesday.
For US fans, that means the song actually arrives Thursday night, October 29, at 7 p.m. ET. It is the second confirmed stop in a rollout that is building toward something Jisoo has never done on her own: a complete studio album. And according to her label, this one is a hard turn away from the sound of September’s Click.
Jisoo’s Addicted Release Date and US Time
Blissoo confirmed the single will premiere simultaneously across domestic and international streaming platforms, so there is no regional rollout and nothing to pre-order. The only thing that matters is the clock.
- 7 p.m. ET Thursday, October 29
- 6 p.m. CT
- 5 p.m. MT
- 4 p.m. PT
Seoul runs 13 hours ahead of the US East Coast, which is why Korean outlets say Friday and American calendars say Thursday. Fans who search for the song Friday morning will be about 12 hours late. Both timestamps point to the same drop.
The Second Prerelease, and Why It Counts
Addicted is not a standalone gift for fans. Blissoo has positioned it as the second prerelease from Jisoo’s debut full-length album, following Click in September. Releasing advance singles ahead of a studio album has become a standard promotional play in K-pop, a way to build international momentum before the main project lands.
The two songs are also being sold as opposites. Click explored the effortless chemistry between two people drawn together by chance. The agency says Addicted marks a sharp stylistic pivot toward a darker, more complex aesthetic, which makes the single a real chapter in the campaign rather than a warm-up track.
What Blissoo has not announced is just as important. There is no album title, no album release date, no tracklist, no credits, no features, and no word on physical editions. Everything beyond the single itself is still under wraps.
What the Teasers Actually Reveal
The rollout ran from Saturday, October 24 through Monday, October 26, with Blissoo dropping three pieces of content on its official channels: a motion logo, a set of concept photos, and a short teaser video.
The logo is the boldest piece. A heart-shaped lightning bolt flashes across a dark purple night sky before the title appears in heavy three-dimensional lettering, an image Korean outlets immediately read as dreamy on the surface and forceful underneath.
The concept photos lean quieter. Jisoo is shown partially veiled behind a curtain that shimmers with sparkles, her full bangs and a sleek black manicure pushing the same restrained, mysterious mood she has leaned into across this era. Then came the teaser video, which offered the first taste of the melody and a brief glimpse of choreography.
What the teasers do not confirm is easy to list: no music video has been announced, no genre or lyrical details have surfaced, and no collaborators have been named. Fan theories about what the heart and lightning imagery means are exactly that, theories, and they have not been addressed by Jisoo or her label.
Where Addicted Fits in Her Solo Run
Jisoo’s solo identity is not a new experiment. She released the EP Amortage in 2025, then followed it with Eyes Closed, a collaboration with Zayn Malik that entered the US Billboard Hot 100 and gave her the strongest mainstream American credential of her solo career so far.
The numbers behind Click suggest the audience kept growing. According to agency figures, that single broke into the iTunes Top 10 in 43 regions and entered Apple Music’s Top Songs charts in 11 countries. Those are Blissoo’s own reported numbers, not an independent tally, but they line up with the logic of a two-single rollout: test the concept, watch the response, then build the album campaign around what worked.
That framing is why the full-length album matters more than any individual drop. Jisoo’s solo work runs through Blissoo and stands apart from her releases with BLACKPINK, and a first studio album is the step that turns a side project into a catalog.
Music Shows, the Album, and What Happens Next
Promotion will not stop at streaming. Jisoo is set to return to Korean television music programs to perform Addicted, described by her agency as her first appearances on the weekly broadcast circuit in recent memory. For K-pop fans, that return is its own event, since those shows are where idols deliver debut performances of a new single. No specific programs or air dates have been named yet.
Several questions stay open heading into release week. Will Addicted get a music video? When does the album itself arrive, and what is it called? Does Jisoo plan any US promotion, or will the campaign stay centered on Korean broadcasts? And how will the single perform on streaming and the Billboard charts compared with Click and Eyes Closed?
For now, the only date that is locked is the one that matters most. Addicted goes live Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT, with the album still waiting somewhere behind it.
