Facts

Girls' Generation is nicknamed "The Nation's Girl Group" in South Korea and was ranked by Billboard as the top K-pop girl group of the 2010s decade in 2017.
They were the first Asian girl group to achieve five music videos with over 100 million YouTube views, and in 2015 became the first Korean artist to reach 100 music show wins.
The group has two notable sub-units: Girls' Generation-TTS (Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun, debuted 2012) and Girls' Generation-Oh!GG (Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Yoona, debuted 2018).
Since 2017 the members have been split across multiple agencies — Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun left SM in 2017 and Sunny in 2023 — but the group has not disbanded and regrouped under SM for FOREVER 1 in 2022.
