NCT DREAM’s Boogie Woogie leads 10th anniversary album out Nov. 9

NCT DREAM will mark their 10th debut anniversary with a disco party. On Oct. 29, SM Entertainment confirmed that Boogie Woogie is the title track of the group’s sixth full-length album, DREAM AFTER DREAM, an up-tempo dance song that pairs the vintage feel of 1970s disco-funk with modern synthesizer sounds.

The album arrives Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. KST, which is 4 a.m. ET for listeners in the United States. It is NCT DREAM’s first full album as a six-member act, and it lands on a milestone the group was never originally built to reach. One of the members helped write the words that celebrate it.

NCT DREAM Boogie Woogie Release Date and Album Details

The full release plan arrived alongside the title track reveal. DREAM AFTER DREAM will hit major music streaming platforms on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. KST, with the physical edition reaching stores the same day.

  • Album: DREAM AFTER DREAM, the sixth full-length release from NCT DREAM
  • Release: Nov. 9, 6 p.m. KST, which converts to 4 a.m. ET and 1 a.m. PT
  • Track count: 10 songs, including the title track
  • Physical edition: same day, Nov. 9
  • Pre-orders: open now through online and offline music retailers

For US NCTzens, that timing means a very early morning. The album will be live on streaming before sunrise on the East Coast, and anyone who wants the physical copy on street date can already place an order. The lineup for this era is Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung.

Inside the 1970s Disco-Funk Sound

SM describes the title track as an up-tempo dance number built on the vintage sensibility of 1970s disco-funk, a style that fused disco’s steady dancefloor beat with funk’s heavy bass grooves, then stacked modern synthesizer production on top. Rhythmic percussion and a groovy bassline carry the song, and the agency says it makes listeners want to move the moment they hear it.

Korean-language coverage framed the whole era as a disco party, and the track is delivered in NCT DREAM’s signature bright and breezy style. No pre-release single has been announced, so Boogie Woogie is set to arrive with the full album on Nov. 9.

The context matters here. The group’s catalog runs from the teenage bounce of Chewing Gum in 2016 to Hot Sauce in 2021 and ISTJ in 2023, with singles like Candy and BTTF in the mix. A retro funk party record is a new lane for the six members, and with 10 songs on the album, the concept has room to stretch well past the title track.

Jaemin Co-Wrote Lyrics About Ten Years Together

Jaemin is credited as a co-writer on the lyrics, which gives the anniversary single a personal center. According to SM, the words celebrate the members for running together over the past decade and urge listeners to enjoy the present moment to the fullest.

The agency also says the song expresses:

  • Gratitude toward one another for making ordinary days special
  • A belief that they will keep shining brightly as long as they stay together

All of it lands in the bright, light-hearted style NCT DREAM has made its signature. For NCTzens, a member writing about his own group’s decade is the detail that makes this era feel personal rather than packaged.

The Garden Teaser Gives the Era Its Look

Teaser content went live through the group’s official social media channels on Oct. 29, and it looks nothing like the usual sleek K-pop rollout. The images show all six members styled as gardeners, each tending crops in a lush garden in his own way.

SM says the concept represents the moments the members have cultivated together over the past 10 years, along with the new stories yet to unfold. Coverage described the mood as free-spirited and playful, and the metaphor is easy to follow: growth takes tending, and a decade of shared work is worth showing.

Why 10 Years Carries Extra Weight for NCT DREAM

NCT DREAM debuted on Aug. 25, 2016 with the single Chewing Gum, introduced as the teenage unit of NCT, the SM Entertainment boy band that operates through multiple subgroups. Under the original plan, members were set to graduate out of the group once they reached adulthood. SM scrapped that system in 2020.

That reversal is what turns this anniversary into a real story rather than a calendar note. A team designed to expire has now spent 10 years together and is still releasing music as a full group. The new record is also the first full-length project since NCT DREAM became a six-member act in April, when Mark left the group and the agency after his exclusive contract expired.

What Is Still Unknown Before Nov. 9

Plenty about the era remains under wraps. Beyond the 10-song count, SM has not revealed the full track list, producer credits, features or the running order. Music video details, choreography and promotion plans have not been announced either, and there is no word yet on an anniversary concert, fan meeting or tour.

What is confirmed: the title track, the garden concept, Jaemin’s lyric credit and the release itself, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. KST, which is 4 a.m. ET. Pre-orders are open now through online and offline retailers, and the physical album arrives the same day.

Between now and then, NCTzens should expect more teasers to fill in the blanks. The open question is how a 1970s disco-funk party fits into a catalog that spans a full decade of singles, and the first listen on Nov. 9 will answer it.
