ENHYPEN brought DARK MOON to San Diego Comic-Con, putting K-pop lore on a new kind of stage

ENHYPEN San Diego Comic-Con 2026 was more than a celebrity convention stop. The group brought its vampire-centered DARK MOON universe to San Diego with a major panel, an official booth activation, and a House of Blues performance built around the lore behind its music.

For ENGENEs, the July appearance showed how far ENHYPEN’s concept has moved beyond a music video storyline. For the wider Comic-Con crowd, it offered a real test of whether K-pop’s serialized world-building can connect with fans of animation, webtoons, and vampire fiction on their own turf.

ENHYPEN Turned Comic-Con Into DARK MOON

ENHYPEN appeared at Ballroom 20 on July 23 for the Bite Me: Calling All Vampires panel, joined by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke and actors Ashley Greene and Peter Facinelli. The crossover made immediate sense: DARK MOON: The Blood Altar follows vampire boys and a superpowered heroine facing forces trying to tear them apart.

The story first surfaced in ENHYPEN’s Drunk-Dazed music video before launching as a webtoon in 2022. Its themes have continued through releases including DARK BLOOD, ORANGE BLOOD, and the MEMORABILIA special album, making the Comic-Con panel a meeting point for the group’s songs, visuals, and fictional mythology.

Why ENHYPEN’s Storytelling Reaches Beyond Music

Jay described that bigger creative ecosystem as central to the group’s connection with fans. “When people become fans of something, they naturally want to explore more related content,” he said, pointing to ENHYPEN’s music, performances, videos, and DARK MOON as different ways to enter the same world.

Jake added that the narrative has been built into the group’s identity since debut and appears in its album lyrics. That approach matters at Comic-Con, where fandom often grows through characters, lore, costumes, and ongoing stories rather than one standalone release. HYBE’s booth leaned into that language with series visuals, tattoo stickers, and limited merchandise, according to the company.

DARK MOON BLOOD NIGHT Brought the Lore to the Stage

The crossover continued on July 24 at ENHYPEN DARK MOON BLOOD NIGHT, a House of Blues San Diego event where the group performed six songs tied to its darker universe. The set included Bite Me, Karma, Moonstruck, Drunk-Dazed, Criminal Love, and Brought The Heat Back.

Fans selected through a lottery attended in vampire-inspired looks, extending the visual language from webtoon panels and music videos into a live room. HYBE has said it will continue expanding the franchise globally, leaving Comic-Con as a notable early signal of how far ENHYPEN’s lore can travel outside the usual comeback cycle.
