Jeonghan just completed military service, and this first Seventeen homecoming has CARATs eyeing the next chapter

Seventeen vocalist Jeonghan has officially completed his mandatory military service, becoming the group’s first member to come home. The singer finished his duty as a social service agent on June 25, 2026, opening a new chapter in Seventeen’s military era.

For global CARATs who just watched the group turn its 10th Carat Land fan meeting into a heartfelt “see you later,” Jeonghan’s return is the first real sign that their promised reunion is on the horizon. It also raises fresh questions about how Seventeen will handle staggered enlistments, new sub units and future tours.

Jeonghan Completes Military Service as Seventeen’s First Returnee

Jeonghan enlisted on September 26, 2024 as a social service agent, fulfilling his duty through public service rather than active duty in the army. After roughly one year and nine months, he was discharged on June 25, 2026, becoming the first of Seventeen’s 13 members to finish service.

As a social service agent, Jeonghan likely carried out civilian public work away from the spotlight. Now that he is discharged, attention turns to when he will rejoin music, variety and brand activities.

The timing lands just after Seventeen’s 10th Carat Land fan meeting on June 20 and 21 at Incheon Asiad Stadium. Only nine members performed while Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi and Woozi were already enlisted, and the show was framed as one of the last big full-group events before more departures.

Seventeen’s Military Era: Who Is Serving and Who Is Next

Jeonghan’s homecoming arrives while several teammates are still in uniform. Wonwoo is serving as a social service agent, and performance leader Hoshi and producer Woozi are carrying out active duty in the army.

For now, Seventeen’s enlistment roadmap looks like this:

  • Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino are expected to enlist soon, with no official individual dates yet.
  • In April 2026, leader S.Coups announced that all 13 members renewed their contracts with Pledis, committing to stay together beyond their service.

At Carat Land, the members talked about spending the next two to three years apart while they complete duty, then returning as 13 in a new second chapter. With the contract renewal in place, Jeonghan’s discharge becomes the first visible step toward that reunion rather than a one off headline.

What Jeonghan’s Discharge Means for CARATs and Future Activities

With service behind him, Jeonghan can now be folded back into Seventeen’s promotions as scheduling allows, from music to variety and brand work. His exact first activity has not been announced, but his pre enlistment run with JxW’s hit single album This Man and solos like “Dream” and “Better Half” suggest plenty of unit and solo options.

For CARATs, his return is arriving alongside a steady stream of content that keeps Seventeen present during the hiatus, including the new V8 sub unit release, Dino’s upcoming Picheolin project and another season of Going Seventeen. Each discharge will add one more member back into that lineup, turning this military era into a slow countdown to seeing all 13 on stage again.
