KATSEYE lands four Billboard Hot 100 songs at once, but the next chart week could define the WILD era

KATSEYE has put four songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at once, turning the group’s WILD era into far more than a No. 1 album headline. “Animal,” “Hootie Frutti,” “PINKY UP,” and the LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT collaboration “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” are all on the latest U.S. singles chart.

For a global girl group building momentum across multiple markets, the key detail is not simply that one song broke through. KATSEYE now has a title track, a prerelease, a returning song, and a cross-group collaboration moving on the Hot 100 in the same week.

KATSEYE Billboard Hot 100 entries, ranked

The latest Billboard Hot 100 update gives KATSEYE four simultaneous placements, led by WILD prerelease “Animal” at No. 24. The song rose six places in the latest ranking and is in its fourth week on the chart, returning to its previous peak.

  • “Animal” at No. 24
  • “Hootie Frutti” at No. 31
  • “PINKY UP” at No. 81
  • “ICONIC BY MISTAKE”, with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, at No. 94

“Hootie Frutti,” the title track from KATSEYE’s third EP, arrives at No. 31 in its Hot 100 debut. That gives the new era an immediate second high-ranking song alongside “Animal,” rather than placing all of its chart weight on one release.

“PINKY UP” has re-entered at No. 81 for its 11th non-consecutive week on the Hot 100. “ICONIC BY MISTAKE,” the collaboration connecting KATSEYE with fellow HYBE girl groups LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, also re-entered at No. 94. Re-entries matter here because they show that the chart story is reaching beyond the newest single.

WILD gave the group a No. 1 launch

The four-song Hot 100 week follows KATSEYE’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, where WILD debuted atop the main albums chart. The five-track EP became the group’s first chart-topper in the United States and their strongest Billboard 200 performance so far.

KATSEYE also reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Artist 100 for the first time. Together, those results place the group at the center of the week’s album and artist rankings while several individual songs remain active on the Hot 100.

The storyline moved quickly in late August. On August 24, chart previews reported that WILD was set to open at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. By August 26, the latest Hot 100 update showed four KATSEYE songs charting simultaneously.

The group’s earlier project Beautiful Chaos reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2025, giving KATSEYE its first top 10 entry. WILD has now taken that momentum from a top five peak to the top spot. KATSEYE’s other releases, Beautiful Chaos and SIS (Soft is Strong), are also on the current Billboard 200.

Why four songs at once is a bigger flex

A No. 1 album can define a major release week. Four songs on the Hot 100 tell a different part of the story: listeners are engaging with more than the project’s main title track. KATSEYE’s current entries represent several distinct paths into the era.

“Animal” is the prerelease and the group’s highest-ranking current Hot 100 song. “Hootie Frutti” is the fresh title-track debut. “PINKY UP” brings back an earlier charting song, while “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” widens the group’s footprint through a collaboration with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT.

That mix makes this week notably different from a one-song breakout. The group is showing activity around both the new EP and songs that were already part of its recent chart history, while the collaboration adds another audience-facing connection inside the K-pop girl-group space.

KATSEYE Billboard Hot 100 momentum also arrives with a meaningful albums-chart comparison. KATSEYE is the fourth female group to top the Billboard 200 since 2020, following BLACKPINK, NewJeans, and TWICE. That does not make the groups interchangeable, but it places WILD in a very small recent group of girl-group No. 1 albums in the U.S.

The WILD era is traveling globally

The chart surge is not limited to the United States. In the United Kingdom, WILD debuted at No. 2 on the Official Albums Chart Top 100, marking a career high for KATSEYE. Three songs also entered the Official Singles Chart Top 100: “Animal” at No. 12, “Hootie Frutti” at No. 16, and B-side “Bel Air” at No. 97.

On Billboard’s Global 200, “Animal” returned to No. 10 while “Hootie Frutti” debuted at No. 19. “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” ranked No. 104, “PINKY UP” re-entered at No. 128, and “Gabriela” returned at No. 158.

The Global Excl. U.S. chart shows a similarly broad spread. “Animal” rose to No. 11, “Hootie Frutti” debuted at No. 27, “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” landed at No. 105, “Gabriela” jumped to No. 154, and “PINKY UP” re-entered at No. 176.

“Hootie Frutti” also entered Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart at No. 21, while “Animal” climbed back to No. 18. Those placements give the two leading WILD tracks a visible role in the group’s current international push.

What KATSEYE fans should watch next

The immediate question is whether “Hootie Frutti” can build on its No. 31 Hot 100 debut as the title track gets more time in the market. “Animal” is also within reach of a new personal high if it can move beyond No. 24 in the coming weeks.

Fans will also be watching whether “PINKY UP” and “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” can hold their re-entries, and whether more WILD tracks join the chart conversation. With the EP at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, KATSEYE at No. 1 on the Artist 100, and four Hot 100 songs active at once, the next chart update will show how much staying power this era has beyond its opening surge.
