BIGBANG’s XX : COSMOS world tour just added this city and an extra U.S. night, VIPs know seats will go fast

BIGBANG is turning its 20th anniversary into a stadium moment: the trio has officially named its 2026-2027 world tour XX : COSMOS and quietly expanded the schedule with brand new shows that fans are already watching closely.

The tour is BIGBANG’s first global run since the 2017 Last Dance concerts, and demand is intense, from sold-out opening nights in Korea to a very limited number of U.S. and Southeast Asia dates. The latest update adds a surprise Manila stop and an extra Oakland night that could disappear fast.

What BIGBANG’s XX : COSMOS world tour means

YG Entertainment revealed the full title, BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS>, through new posters in mid July, following the group’s Coachella 2026 announcement that a 20th anniversary tour would begin in August. The members themselves contributed ideas for the name.

According to YG, “XX” marks the two decades BIGBANG has spent with fans since debut, while “Cosmos” points to connection, relationships, and continuity, “all that has existed, exists and will exist.” Earlier teaser images even hid letters spelling “COSMOS” as Easter eggs for VIPs to decode.

The tour opens with three nights at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province from August 21 to 23, which sold out within minutes, including extra seats later released. Official materials highlight only large stadiums and domes, including MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Stade de France in Paris, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, and major Japanese domes.

From 18 to 19 cities: the new XX : COSMOS dates

When BIGBANG first unveiled the 2026 world tour in June, posters listed 31 shows in 18 cities across North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. Cities included Oakland, East Rutherford, Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Sydney, Jakarta, and Kaohsiung.

The routing has now grown to 33 shows in 19 cities. One major update is the newly added Manila date: BIGBANG will perform at SMDC Festival Grounds on February 20, 2027, marking the group’s first Philippines concert in around 12 years and making them the first K-pop act to headline that venue.

On the U.S. side, Oakland’s stop has quietly doubled. YG’s North America notice originally listed only a September 5 show at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, but the venue now advertises an additional September 4 concert that fan materials describe as an added night driven by early demand.

U.S. tickets: your only chances to see XX : COSMOS stateside

American fans get just two cities on the BIGBANG XX COSMOS world tour: Oakland and the New York area. Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum hosts shows on September 4 and 5, 2026, while MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford presents the lone East Coast date on September 11.

YG’s North America and Europe notice explains that presales ran through official platforms using a six digit V.I.P fanclub code, followed by general onsale on June 26. With Goyang stadium seats gone within minutes, remaining U.S. inventory is likely to stay tight, especially for MetLife.

For clarity, the three U.S. stadium nights are:

  • Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland CA – September 4 and 5, 2026
  • MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford NJ – September 11, 2026

Tickets are available only through official sellers like AXS, Ticketmaster, and venue links, with Oakland Arena listing the new September 4 show as on sale now. YG has also reopened the V.I.P sixth generation fanclub through b.stage, tying membership to presale access worldwide.

Korean reports add that BIGBANG is filming a new music video and preparing the group’s first song in four years to drop before the tour. YG has signaled that additional locations could still be announced, so fans are watching the group’s channels, b.stage, and YG updates for any further XX : COSMOS surprises.
