Lia is a South Korean singer and the main vocalist of the JYP Entertainment girl group ITZY, with whom she debuted on February 12, 2019. Partly raised in Toronto, she passed an SM Entertainment audition at 14 before joining JYP in 2017 after two years of training.

She stepped away from group activities in September 2023 to focus on treatment for anxiety, and her return was announced in July 2024. She has since resumed full activities with ITZY and renewed her contract with JYP Entertainment in 2025 alongside her fellow members.
