SEVENTEEN’s rain-soaked New_ encore finale in Incheon hid one contract update Carats cannot ignore

Under lightning and sheets of rain, Seventeen turned the final night of its New_ encore at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on April 5, 2026 into something bigger than a tour wrap up: a live promise that all 13 members plan to stay together long term.

For Carats, the rain soaked Seventeen New_ encore Incheon 2026 was already emotional: the last group concert before a long military related pause, closing a 10th anniversary world tour that had stretched across 14 cities in Asia and North America.

A Stormy New_ Encore In Incheon

The storm barely slowed the opening. Jun and Mingyu rolled into the stadium in a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, then the nine performing members launched straight into HBD from the fifth album Happy Burstday as fireworks cracked through the rain and The8 yelled, “Make some noise!” to a stadium already screaming.

Across four chapters, the set moved from full group power tracks like Thunder and Super to intimate solo and unit moments. Dino, Jun and Vernon highlighted new solos from Happy Burstday, while vocal line members Joshua, DK and Seungkwan brought ballads that felt even rawer with water streaming down their faces.

From Spectacle To Full-Group Renewal

Later segments leaned into performance intensity, with The8’s Skyfall, Mingyu’s Shake It Off and S.Coups’ Jungle leading into a run of hits including Hot, Highlight, Rock With You and Hit. After To You and Circles, leader S.Coups finally shared what many fans feared might never come: every member had already agreed to renew with Pledis Entertainment for a second time.

The stadium roared. Pledis soon confirmed the news in a statement, making official what S.Coups had said onstage. Joshua explained, “The biggest reason we decided to renew was because of Carat,” adding, “We want to tell you we love you, and to wait just a little bit, as we will return soon as 13.”

SEVENTEEN, Military Service And The OT13 Future

Other members turned the downpour into a metaphor. Dino talked about growing up since debut yet still feeling humbled by fan support, The8 compared the coming pause to cherry blossoms falling so stronger life can grow, and Vernon quietly thanked Carats for shaping not only his career but the group’s entire twenties.

Behind the emotion is a clear plan. Four members, Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Woozi and Hoshi, are already in mandatory military service, and others will follow, which means full group concerts are on hold. Yet with contracts renewed after a 31 show New_ World Tour that reached over 800,000 fans from Los Angeles to live viewing cinemas for the Nagoya show, SEVENTEEN has marked Incheon not as an ending, but as the rainy night that tied this era to their promised OT13 return.
