Lee Do Hyun is officially joining Lee Byung-hun and Go Youn-jung in Nambul, a Korean historical action film centered on a dangerous rescue mission. The Lee Do Hyun Nambul movie casting brings three major screen stars into a hard-boiled martial arts story that is still in pre-production.

Lee Do Hyun joins the Nambul cast
The production team announced Lee Do Hyun’s casting on July 20. He will play Bo Kyung, a warrior who takes the front line as the force heads into enemy territory, with the character defined by intense action, loyalty, and camaraderie with his fellow fighters.
Lee Byung-hun plays Im Eok, the leader of the warrior group, while Bo Kyung is positioned as a devoted protector at his side. The film also reunites Lee Do Hyun with director Lee Mo-gae after Exhuma, in which Lee starred and Lee Mo-gae served as cinematographer.

Nambul follows nine warriors from different abilities and social standings as they travel to Tsushima Island. Their mission is to rescue prisoners taken by Japanese pirates, placing a group survival story, rather than one lone hero, at the center of the martial arts action.
Go Youn-jung will play Ae-ryeong, a woman who enters the conflict after a pirate attack devastates her family and leaves her younger brother captive. Her personal rescue mission adds an emotional stake to a cast lineup already built around warriors, leadership, and loyalty under pressure.
